The taste of local food
Skattebøl has more than 300 sheep in summertime, in addition to chickens and a friendly border collie. Hunting grounds and fishing lakes also belong to the farm, and those who are fond of catching their own dinner can try their luck in the lake ‘Strandafjorden’, running along the bottom of the valley, or in one of the mountain lakes half an hour drive from the farm.
For those who would like to learn more about local food traditions, we can offer trips to some of our partners, where you can learn more about the local delicacy Rakfisk, locally sourced and produced. You can also try some of the delicious lefsekling, a type of sweetbread with sugar and butter.
