Skattebøl Fjellgård can house several people on the actual farm, and one of the most authentic places to sleep is the little, red ‘Kårstue’ – an old log house with a fireplace and 4 beds. The door of the living room has old paintings, and over a fireplace paints some words of wisdom.

If you want more peace and quiet, you can rent one of the farm’s old boots. Nyset, which in its time gave house to both people and fairies, has recently been renovated to a more modern standard. Stølen is beautifully situated with the forest as a neighboring view of Skogshorn in Hemsedal and several ponds below the stables. There is water and electricity, wood fired hot tub with direct access from the terrace, and sleeps 10 people. The old part of the stall is kept, with a large cozy fireplace, solid roof rails in the ceiling and tiny windows.

Stølen is about 1000m.o.h with good skiing conditions. Stølen is a 20-minute drive from Skattebøl Farm and Ål City Center. It’s way all the way, but when there’s a lot of snow it’s possible that snowmobile transport is the last bit. It is a short way to the farm’s private fishing lake, hiking trail and ski slopes.

Rødungen is located about 30 minutes drive from Ål city centre and about 2 hours walk, or alternatively drive in to Tunhovd and 20 minutes walk. The cabin has basic standard, but is located in the middle of a hunting area for birds owned privately by the farm. There is also a lake next to the cabin with trout and common whitefish.

The red and white ‘stabbur’ below the main farm house is more than 100 years old. This house can be rented for accomodation summertime.
